What is a podcast?

If you don't know what a podcast is, then you haven't been living. We have been big podcast fans for many years. They are fantastic in the car, on public transport, taking a walk or to zone out whilst getting through your workday or housework. They are audio on demand, in a portable manner.

Last year for the first time, more than 50% of the U.S. population over 12 years old listened to a podcast, according to Edison Research. An estimated 32% of the U.S. population - about 90 million people - were monthly podcast listeners. The term podcast came about in 2004 when a UK BBC journalist, Ben Hammersley combined the terms ‘iPod’ and ‘broadcast’.

Podcasts have been around for a while but not everyone knows how to download (it's ok, we forgive you!). See below for some quick tips on where you can download PX podcasts from.
